Collection: Workshops at Gusto Bread

Bread Making Workshops - July 25 and August 22, 2021

Experience a day of baking at Gusto Bread with baker/owner Arturo Enciso. Great for beginners and experienced home bakers alike.
Held on a Sunday from 3-6:30pm

In this workshop, we will make the rustic sourdough bread recipe that was the basis of Gusto Bread’s humble beginnings. We will also cover topics such as sourdough starter maintenance, selecting flours, loaf scoring and stencil advice, and home oven tips and tricks. Plus, there will be time for Q&A for any baking questions you may have!

Walk away with a freshly baked loaf of bread + dough prepared in class to bake at home! We will also provide a recipe booklet, Gusto’s own sourdough starter, a reusable bread basket, 1kilo of bread flour, AND the hands-on knowledge to continue baking at home!

Light meal will be provided. Get to know your classmates a little better during a short mid-class break: We will have a delicious spread of veggies, cheese, dips and fruit for enjoying some freshly baked bread together.

Class will be held indoors. Please attend only if you feel comfortable/safe being in close proximity with others. We will continue to have classes into the future if you would rather wait to participate (if you have concerns related to COVID-19).

Additional Fall workshops to be added at a later date! Stay tuned...

All our bakery items are made to order, so please note that all sales are final, and we cannot offer refunds or cancellations for purchases past the specific date indicated on the ordering page.

Everything we make is entirely natural with NO added preservatives (cuz we love you), which means our products have a limited shelf life.

For the best experience, we recommend enjoying our freshly made foods the same day or the following day. Some items may need refrigeration until you’re ready to enjoy them; please refer to the item listings or contact us with any questions.
