A dark-crusted, fragrant, chewy and complex large loaf of bread (2.2 kilos - traditionally known as a Miche). Great for sharing at the table!

Each loaf is stenciled with the "Protect Puvungna" design by Friends of Puvungna - A community of organizers working to preserve the sacred land of the Tongva and Acjachemen tribes, native inhabitants of the stolen land we call Long Beach.

Proceeds from sales of this loaf will be donated to Friends of Puvungna to #ProtectPuvungna!

Made with stone-milled single-origin flour from Cairnspring mills, and 100% wild-fermented with masa madre (sourdough).

This is an over-sized loaf and cannot be sliced!

This item is made with masa madre which means it is naturally leavened and fermented with sourdough.  Think of sourdough/masa madre as a method of cultivating wild yeasts for baking rather than just bread with a tangy/sour flavor.
