A very special shareable pan de muerto made with Sonora flour and filled with a decadent espresso vanilla chantilly.
What makes this special bread even more exceptional is that it's made with Sonora flour grown without irrigation in California by Farmer Mai Nguyen. Another extra-special component is that we're using freshly ground vanilla beans (the whole pod, not just the seeds) produced by our friends at Tahitian Gold, based a few miles away in Signal Hill. You won’t find vanilla any fresher!

More about the flour and farmer Mai:
The Sonora flour from Mai Nguyen is SUPER special as it is grown with NO irrigation, ONLY rainfall in Sonoma County. And we are SO lucky to have been given the chance to try the first batch of flour she ever milled! We hope you will enjoy the flavors of this beautiful grain in the pan de muertoSonora was the first wheat variety successfully cultivated in the new world, and was used in the northern Mexican state of Sonora to create the very first wheat tortillas. Naturalized in the dry regions of Mexico’s north makes it well adapted to California’s hot, dry summers.
